What does it mean when we are able to deal with complex and ambiguous situations? how do we recognize those who can?
Well, they will exhibit the following indicators
- Able to be calm and confident. They help the people around them, their teams, colleagues be calm and deal with ambiguous situations.
- They will identify the root cause of the problem quickly
- They ask questions to evoke thought process, even when answers are not available.
- Convey ambiguous and complex information with as much clarity as possible.
- Assess different possible outcomes and plan for different scenarios and possible results quickly. They are not deterred with outcomes that do not match expectations.
- Respond to the changing nature of the situation with the required resources.
- Are willing to work and change according to evolving nature of outcomes
- Work on an unclear goal and unpredictable outcome with energy and a positive attitude.
So a word of caution do not make this list a standard, but use it as a guide to recognize your own strengths and weaknesses.
